Terms of use

The agreement between you and BuzzBuntu for using the platform.

Who may use the platform

You may use BuzzBuntu if you are at least 13 years old, if you can enter a binding agreement where you live, and if nothing in the law that applies to you forbids it. Registration refuses an account whose declared date of birth implies an age below the minimum.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us about yourself, and for keeping your credentials to yourself.

An account is personal. Do not sell, lend or share it, and do not use another person’s account without their permission.

What you publish

You keep ownership of what you write, upload and post. You give the platform permission to store it, show it to the people your visibility setting allows, and keep it available at the address it was published under. That permission lasts as long as the content is on the platform.

You are responsible for what you publish. Do not publish anything you do not have the right to publish, and do not publish another person’s private information.

A post you delete becomes a tombstone in the conversation or feed around it: the text is withdrawn, and the fact that something was there is kept so the exchange still reads in order.

How the platform is moderated

Content can be reported from the surface it appears on. A report goes to a moderation queue, and a moderator may leave the content alone, withdraw a message from the conversation, or return a listing to its seller with a note.

A community guideline breach can also end in an account being restricted. What is and is not allowed is set out in the Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms.

What the platform does not promise

The platform is offered as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that every listing or article is accurate, or that content posted by other people is lawful or honest.

Payments, where a section of the platform takes them, are handled by the payment provider named at the point of payment, and are subject to that provider’s terms as well as these.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using the platform at any time. Self-service account deletion is not yet built; until it is, ask for an account to be closed through the phone number on the platform, +234 803 668 2403, and we will tell you what can be removed and what must be kept.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. If a change materially affects what you may do or what you give up, we will tell account holders about it in the platform before it takes effect.
